American Tiger LLC is an advisory services firm with a focus on the applications of AI and the Healthcare sector.
Investment Methodology. Our focus is to identify innovation and new market opportunities within the application layer of AI and certain sectors of the Healthcare sector, specifically within Life Sciences (Bio Tech) that are in an accelerated state of development or within early stages of market entry. We look for management teams that have the bench strength to execute their stated business plans.
Artificial Intelligence
Observation: The application layer of AI is undergoing a severe shakeout where basic “wrapper” apps are being phased out, while companies relying solely on general model benchmarks face existential threats.
In broad terms, three key observations regarding the current landscape include:
1.The Pivot to Workflows & Agents: Surviving companies are moving past simple chat interfaces to embed intelligent, autonomous agentic systems deeply into complex business workflows and daily user habits.
2. Commoditization vs. Proprietary Data: Because foundational models are easily swapped and increasingly commoditized, real moats are now forged by combining AI with deep, proprietary, domain-specific data sets.
3. The Valuation Test: High market valuations are no longer guaranteed for pure software interfaces; investors heavily scrutinize application platforms based on their user retention and ability to seamlessly scale.

Predicament: The shift towards the AI application layer represents a pivot from building foundational models to creating specialized, AI-native software. This effects “everything”.
Opportunity: Traditional metrics and cost opportunity analysis may not work in how we rationalize investments within this sector. We believe that adopting innovations and technologies rather than chasing solutions in reactive measures will better serve the interests of governments (to include all the Ministries and Sovereign funds) business and all forms of organizations.
While this application pivot drives significant transformation, it is part of a broader, multi-layered revolution across the AI ecosystem.
Outlook: While the application layer is where customers interact with AI and where we are focused. It is also important to understand massive shifts are happening simultaneously throughout the rest of the tech stack:
Infrastructure and Compute – AI is fundamentally altering hardware. The shift is driving massive investments in data centers, cooling, and specialized chips to process real-time inference.
Physical AI (PAI) – The ntegration of intelligent software into robotics and physical systems is transforming traditional manufacturing and logistics.
Trust and Governance – Organizations are shifting focus to the guardrails that make enterprise AI safe, verifiable, and compliant.
In conclusion, we are living through the most expansive knowledge proliferation that we are able to comprehend, which also have the power to displace us completely. This AI era brings opportunities and a sobering reality that we are all responsible for the outcomes that go beyond investment decision making. We hope to be good stewards if given the opportunity to participate in important decision making inflection points.
Life Sciences (BioTech)
Observation: The ability to enhance public health along with personalized health solutions to prevent illnesses and simultaneously also decrease the impact of genetic diseases on sections of society until today, has largely been challenged by the lack of viable medical and technological solutions and economic considerations.
Predicament: Healthcare and insurance related costs are not sustainable for large sections of the patient population. Additionally, preventive healthcare options are often only available to only the smallest portions of society. Large sections of society are usually left struggling in making ends meet with no additional resources to enhance their personalized health outcomes.
Opportunity: We are now living through a fascinating point in time when the world of traditional healthcare is employing multidisciplinary approaches using the advances of semiconductor related technologies that can integrate big data and artificial intelligence to bring innovative solutions to entirely new fields of life sciences.
Outlook: We look at the evolution of innovation to include the exciting fields of Cell Engineering, Gene Editing and Targeted Therapies to potentially provide breakthroughs in positive outcomes to the mysteries of many diseases that have dodged humanity for millennia.
